The labor staff of the Madrid City Council belongs to several groups: sports facilities, integrated into the City Council since 2005; IT of the Madrid City Council (IAM); Madrid-Health; AgenAgency for Employment; Tax Agency, Activities Agency and the City Council itself. Until now, in terms of professional classification and remuneration, they were governed by their respective original agreements, despite the fact that the Single Agreement, signed in 2006, gave a period of six months to develop the classification and job relations. Hence the importance of closing a process that had lasted more than a decade. The agreement signed today includes four fundamental axes: framing the current professional categories in the groups/subgroups established by the agreement on common working conditions for all staff, be it work or official. The second axis is to establish the jobs of the workforce in relation to those of equal or equivalent officials, which also implies their remuneration standardization.
