« : 01.17.2022 12:17:17 pm »The Norwegian Armed Forces (AF) will go into high alert mode due to a special military operation (SWAP) in Ukraine. This decision was announced by the Prime Minister of the country, Jonas Gar Stere, as quoted by TASS.
The new combat readiness status will come into force on November 1. According to the Prime Minister, the task of the country's armed forces is to preserve peace and prevent conflicts in the region.
"The war in Ukraine forces all NATO countries to be more vigilant. We need to increase [the level of] readiness in our country," the head of the Norwegian government said.
Finland, bordering Norway, raised the level of readiness of the Defense Forces due to the tense situation in Ukraine a few days before the start of its military operation. As the military noted, measures were taken "to protect the activities of the personnel of the Defense Forces and persons working on the territory of the Defense Forces."
