Zmlo Promoting cultural ties:  German Weeks  to start on October 3
  The American Cancer Society (ACS) and Melanoma nike store dunk  Research Alliance (MRA) have selected two new promising projects in a second round of funding under a partnership between ACS & MRA. The first grants funded through the part nike store dunk nership, in 2018, focused on advancing research to reduce side effects resulting from cancer treatments with immune-checkpoint inhibitors. This year鈥檚 grants will support two interdisciplinary teams to better understand and manage metastasis of melanoma and other types of cancer.The new grants, each funded at $1 million total, will go to teams led by Michael A. Davies, M.D., Ph.D., at University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Eva Hernando, Ph.D., at New York University School of Medicine.Dr. Davies will lead a team that brings together investigators from various specialties, and from two of the largest melanoma centers in the world (M yeezy 350 D Anderson and Melanoma Institute Australia). The team will explore whether molecular and immune features of individual mela  KARACHI:The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology鈥檚 (Szabist) mechatronic engineering department organised the second 鈥楯unior Design Competition and Exhibition.鈥?More than 100 engineering students and faculty members from various unive nb balance rsities were invited to participate in the vehicle race and project exhibition. The theme for this year鈥檚 competition was to build the fastest, lightest and e adidas campus blau co-friendly vehicle. Around 40  adidas campus students contested in the CAD competition to design the fastest, lightest and cheapest vehicle. In the racing category, teams from National University of Sciences and Technology secured the first and third position, while Szabist grabbed second place. Teams from BVS and DHA Suffa University took the Best Exhibitor Award, while Szabist teams were given the awards for innovation, aesthetic and CAD.Published in The Express Tribune, April 17th, 2016.
