 The Georgetown Lions Club made local residents Easter weekends a bit more hoppy with their latest random act of kindness.On April 18, members of the club spent the evening at FreshCo in Georgetown handing out gift certificates to local families to help pay for their Easter feasts. In total, the club helped 22 f stanley en mexico amilies, with FreshCo providing two stanley cups  of the gift certificates.This marks the fifth act of kindness in  stanley mug the clubs six-month campaign to spread joy in the community.               ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW                                        This was a very personal way to connect with local residents,  said Lion Jack Ruck. The Georgetown Lions Club is proud to serve the community.      During the Christmas season, the Lions provided gift cards to Links2Care to help families in need. In January, members handed out Happy Meal coupons to families dining out on a Saturday at McDonalds in Georgetown. In February, the club was at the Georgetown Hospital paying for patients parking, and last month members helped cover the tab during the breakfast rush at Ares Restaurant.        ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW                                  The purpose of this program is to touch residents in a positive manner, and we hope those people who receive an act of kindness will pay it forward,  said Lions President Vijay Kapila.  Torontos Sunnybrook Hospital has declared an outbreak of COVID-19, with four cases of the virus identified in a surgical unit in the acute care section of the Bayview Avenue campus.Sunnybrook spokesperson Sybil Millar told the Star the outbreak was declared Sunday after the first positive test came in on Friday during routine surveillance testing. All other patients in the affected unit are negative.      With the declaration of an outbreak, the affected unit has been closed to admissions and visitors are not allowed.
