The goal is to get individuals the help they need, rather than send them to the justice system or the hospital.Since its inception, the unit has responded to 170 calls in Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Clearview Township and Wasaga Beach. ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW Out of the 170 people weve seen, only five per cent have gone to hospital, Afram said.Those who go to hospital are usually in need of a psychiatric assessment. For 95 per cent of the calls, those individuals are referred to service providers.
