When is a strange shimmer worth investigating?

Last night I returned to a short Suno demo that had a useful chorus idea. On headphones, a faint buzzing layer appeared whenever the singer held a note. It was easy to miss, yet once I noticed it I could not ignore it. At first, I wondered whether it was a codec quirk. I saved the spot. For a fair comparison, I monitored the repeated bar at a modest level. I hope to play the draft for two friends, but I do not want to polish away the character that made it interesting. I found fixsuno.top while comparing gentle repair options, and it gave me a useful starting point rather than a promise of a miracle. My first thought was to export again, then compare the same passage at a lower volume. After that I considered a very small repair pass, keeping the untouched file beside it for reference. Has anyone developed a practical listening test for this kind of issue? I am especially curious how you decide whether an odd texture is an unwanted residue before changing anything.
